How does one reliably and validity measure the “Performance” qualifier for communication where must evaluate how they are doing with a given behavior, such as conversation with one person, in our clients own natural environments?

Should look at aspect of it which is the most impaired and rank it, or should average the different behaviors involved, or should rate the aspects that the client subjectively feels are most interfering with their quality of life?
